Filters are a great tool to use for blocking or sorting emails. If you would like to create a filter on your Paubox hosted email account, follow these steps.
- Login to your Paubox account https://m.paubox.com/mail
- Click on Settings
- Click on Filters
- Under Filter sets, click on the plus button
- Name your filter set and checked off none under filters
- Click the Save button
- Click on the filter set that you just named
- Click on the plus button under Filters
- Name this filter and set up the rules for the filter you would like to create (some examples are below)
- Click the Save button
- Under Filter sets, select the filter set you created
- Click on the gear tool icon under Filter sets
- Select Enable/Disable, this will change the text color for your filter from gray to black, showing that it has been enabled.
Examples
A common filter to implement is blocking automated emails from SEO companies based in India. Here is an example of the type of filter that you could set up. This filter will search all incoming emails for a message body that contains the words "India" and "SEO" and will move these messages to the Junk folder. If you would prefer to just delete these emails, you can select Delete message from the actions to execute section.
Another common filter is to sort emails from a particular email address into a specific folder in your inbox. This filter that will move all emails from a particular email address into a custom folder named General.
