Here is an explanation of our TLS/SSL encryption and what makes us special.
What we are doing is encrypting the transmission of the email, as opposed to portal base solutions that encrypt the message, store it on their secure servers, and then send access to the message, hence the extra steps involved (plugin, login, decryption key, etc.).
You can see in the source code of our emails that there is a 128 or 256 bit AES encryption over the TLS connection, which to this day has not been cracked. In all these email deliveries the message is delivered in a seamless and user-friendly manner.
The beauty of our solution is in the case of a recipient that is using a legacy provider that does not support TLS, only the older SSL encryption (i.e. netzero, cox, roadrunner, etc). In these cases we are able to recognize this during the transmission of the email and convert it into the form of a hyperlink. We store the message on our webpage (where it is sitting encrypted) and your recipient will get a message with a link to the secure message. Once they follow the link they will be able to view the message in an easy to read format. And again, because we are encrypting inbound email, 100% of the replies to your email will be encrypted back to you, the Paubox sender.
