As a Paubox hosted customer you will be moving all of your email accounts to G suite. This will enable you access to a myriad of tools by G Suite and Paubox will continue to encrypt all your email messages in a HIPAA compliant manner.
To ensure a smooth transition of your emails from a Paubox hosted environment to your G Suite account, please follow the guide below.
Part I: Purchase your G suite account
The first of migrating your Paubox hosted emails to G Suite is you will need to create a G suite business account. You can easily do this by purchasing your G Suite package from Paubox. We are an authorized reseller of G suite.
Part II: Create the email user accounts on G Suite
After creating your G Suite account, you can begin creating all the email accounts that will be under your G Suite account.
After you created your user accounts, you will then need to create your Google Groups. Groups are the equivalent of Aliases in Paubox. Instructions for creating your Google Groups can be accessed here.
Part III: Email migration from Paubox to G Suite
After you have created all of your user accounts you can now begin the process of migrating all of your emails from your Paubox account to your respective G Suite account. Instructions for this step can be found here.
Be aware that the duration of the email migration process depends on several factors. Generally it takes about 30 minutes to migrate 100MB of emails. However, during this time you can use you G Suite account to send, receive, and check emails.
Part IV: Setup Paubox's encryption system with your G Suite account
After you have started the email migration process for all of your user accounts. You can then proceed to setup Paubox's encryption with G Suite. The instructions for this can be accessed here.
*SPF record: If your current SPF record has other services tied to it (ex. mailgun, sendgrid, autopilot), you must include those as well in your new SPF record.*
Additional Notes
Email Forwarding: If you have email forwarding setup in your Paubox hosted accounts, you will need to create those settings in your G Suite accounts as well. Instructions that can be found here.
SMTP Connection Application: If you are using any email applications with Paubox's server setting (m.paubox.com), you must change them to the proper G Suite setting and login credentials. Such applications can include Postman, Mailgun, Growbots, Printers and Faxes.
Mobile Device and Email Software Setup: You can access your G Suite hosted account on your mobile devices (iOS or Android) and specialized email software (MS Outlook or Apple Mail) by setting it up as a normal Gmail account. You just need to enter the correct email address and password.
