We know you’re excited to get your HIPAA compliant email set up on a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus phone. Using this video and written guide, you should be able to have your email working on your phone in about 5 minutes.
How to add new email account to Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8 Plus
- Find Accounts
- Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
- Press the settings icon.
- Press Cloud and Accounts.
- Press Accounts.
- Create new email account
- Press Add account
- Press Email
- Enter your Paubox hosted email address (ex. email@example.com or email@pauboxmail.com). Then press Manual Setup. Enter your Paubox email password. The password is case sensitive so you might want to click Show Password to see what you are typing in.
- Select IMAP Account.
- On the next page enter the following settings:
- Account
- Email address: your full Paubox email address
- Username: your full Paubox email address
- Password: your Paubox email password
- Incoming Server
- IMAP Server: m.paubox.com
- Security Type: SSL (accept all certificates)
- Port: 993
- Delete email from server: This is up to your preference
Press Never to keep email on the server when you delete them on your phone.Press When deleted from Inbox to delete email on the server when you delete them on your phone.
- Outgoing Server
- SMTP server: m.paubox.com
- Security type: TLS (accept all certificates)
- Port: 587
- Authentication before sending emails: Yes

Username: your full Paubox email address
- Password: your Paubox email password

- Press Sign In
- Account
- Select settings for retrieval of new emails-all of these settings are up to the you (i.e. the customer) preference
- Set Sync Frequency to 15 minutes (recommended)
- Check on the following: "Notify me when emails arrive, Sync emails from this account, Automatically download attachments when connected to wifi."
- Tap on Next
- Enter email account name and sender name (up to customer's choice)
- You are done!
