In this section, we will cover adding contacts. Paubox Marketing’s contact management tool gives you the ability to securely store contact data in a HIPAA compliant manner.
There are two ways to add new Paubox Marketing contacts: add a bulk list of contacts all at once via a CSV file or manually add a single contact at a time.
Import contacts via a CSV file
Use the Import Contacts function to quickly import a bulk list of contacts from a CSV file.
1) On the Contacts page in Paubox Marketing, click the Add Contacts button.
2) On the dropdown, choose Import Contacts.
3) Drag and drop your CSV file or click Browse Computer to open the file manager .
4) Map each imported column to the appropriate Smart Text Field.
- If there is no Smart Text Field by the same name, you can use the dropdown to choose a Smart Text Field or create a new field.
- You can choose not to import a column by unchecking the box next to the Column Name.
- Note that the only required field/value for contacts is an email address
5) Click Continue to Validation.
6) If there are any duplicate email addresses or other errors, you will need to resolve the issue before moving on to the next step.
7) Click Review.
8) Review the contacts being imported and make any final edits prior to the contact import.
9) Click Import Contacts to complete the import.
Add a single contact
To add a single contact:
1) On the Contacts page in Paubox Marketing, click the Add Contacts button.
2) On the dropdown, choose Add Single Contact.
3) Fill in the contact details.
4) To add a new smart text field, click on New Smart Text Field.
5) After all the contact information has been added, click on Add Contact to confirm and add the new contact.
