Paubox Marketing: FAQs around unsubscribes

About Unsubscribes

Every email sent via the Paubox Marketing solution includes an "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email. 

Recipients who click "unsubscribe" will be routed to a landing page where they can choose to unsubscribe from the specific list or from all marketing emails (global unsubscribe).

After updating their email preferences, the recipient will see a confirmation, like the following:

Unsubscribe FAQs

Q: Can I make any changes to the unsubscribe page or options?

  • No, at this time, customizations cannot be made to the unsubscribe landing page or options.

Q: Will recipients be able to opt back into emails after they unsubscribe?

  • No, at this time recipients won't be able to opt back into lists they have unsubscribed from. 

Q: If a recipient unsubscribes from a specific mailing list, will they be removed from that subscription list?

  • The contact will still exist in your list but the status will be changed to "Unsubscribed." Any emails sent to that list will automatically exclude that contact.

Q: If a recipient unsubscribed from all mailing lists (global unsubscribe) will they be removed from my contacts list?

  • The contact will still exist as a contact in Paubox Marketing but the status will be changed to "Unsubscribed." Any emails sent will automatically exclude that contact.
