Paubox Webmail: Access on iPhone / iPad

Overview  

This guide will show how to access your existing Paubox Webmail on your iPhone or iPad.

Note that some menu options on your device may vary slightly, depending on the device and operating system version.

Step by step guide 

  1. On your device, tap on the Settings icon. 
  2. On the Settings screen, tap Passwords & Accounts or (in newer versions of iOS) tap Mail.
  3. Tap Add Account.
  4. On the Add Account screen, tap Other.
  5. On the Other screen, tap Add Mail Account.
  6. Enter your Name, Email, Password, and a short Description.
    • "Email" is your Paubox email address
    • "Password" is your Paubox email password
    • "Description" - how you'd like your Paubox account to be displayed on your device
  7. Tap Next.
  8. On the New Account screen, make sure the IMAP tab is selected (in blue), and under INCOMING MAIL SERVER enter these settings:
    • Host Name: m.paubox.com
    • User Name: your Paubox email address
    • Password: your Paubox email password
  9. Under OUTGOING MAIL SERVER enter the same settings:
    • Host Name: m.paubox.com
    • User Name: your Paubox email address
    • Password: your Paubox email password
  10. Tap Next.
  11. Wait while your device verifies the settings (may take several minutes). After verification completes, you will see a screen with Mail and Notes options. Leave the settings as they are and tap Save.
  12. After saving, you will see the Passwords & Accounts screen again. Tap on your newly added Paubox Mail account.
  13. Under IMAP, tap on your account email address.
  14. On the Account screen, in the Outgoing Mail Server section, tap SMTP.
    • Make sure that "Primary Server" (m.paubox.com) is set to "On"
    • Make sure that all "Other SMTP Servers" are set to "Off" 
    • Tap Account at the top left to get back to the Account screen
  15. On the Account screen, at the bottom, tap Advanced.
  16. On the Advanced screen, under Deleted Messages, tap Remove.
  17. On the Remove screen, select Never.
  18. You're finished! Click the main Home button to exit from settings and setup.
