We know you’re excited to get your HIPAA compliant email set up on your devices and computers. Using these guides, it should take you about 5 minutes of setup for each device or computer.
To Set up Paubox Encrypted Email on Outlook 2003
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2003. Click Tools, and then click E-mail Accounts.
- On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select Add a new e-mail account, and then click Next.
- On the next screen, either choose POP3 or IMAP and click Next.
- On the next screen, enter:
- Your Name: [Your first and last name]
- E-mail Address: [Your Paubox email address]
- Incoming mail server: m.paubox.com
- Outgoing mail server: m.paubox.com
- User Name: [Your Paubox email address]
- Password: [Your Paubox email password]
- Make sure the Remember password box is checked, then click More Settings …
- On the following screen, click the Outgoing Server tab. Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server. Select the Advanced tab.
- If you are using IMAP: Next to Incoming server (IMAP), type 993 and make sure This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is checked. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), type 587 and make sure the Use the following type of encrypted connection: drop-down box is set to TLS.
- If you are using POP3: Next to Incoming server (POP), type 995 and make sure This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is checked. Next to Outgoing Server (SMTP), type 587 and make sure the Use the following type of encrypted connection: drop-down box is set to TLS.
- Then click OK.
- Click Next.
- Outlook 2003 will test your settings. When it’s done, click Close.
- Click Finish.
