Please be sure that you have completed the Paubox Self Service Wizard before you begin making these changes. If you completed the Paubox Self Service Wizard, you would have received an email notification regarding your install to the email address you signed up.
Sign in to your 1&1 account
- Go to https://www.1and1.com/login?__lf=Static.
- On the 1&1 site, log in to your account with the account number, username, or domain name and password that you created when you purchased your domain from 1&1.
- Can't remember your 1&1 username or password? You can reset your password or contact 1&1 support.
Go to the 1&1 domain settings
- In the 1&1 site, click Manage Domain for the domain you want to set up with Paubox.
- At the top of the page, click Advanced Settings. Then click Continue.
- Scroll down the page and open the DNS Settings section.
- Click Edit.
Add the Paubox SPF record
- In the TXT and SRV Records section, Add Record.
- Select TXT from the drop-down list for the Type field.
- Leave the Prefix field blank.
- Enter one of the following in the Value field.
- For G Suite hosted customers:
- v=spf1 include:_spf.paubox.com include:_spf.google.com -all
- For Office 365 hosted customers:
- v=spf1 include:_spf.paubox.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
- For Exchange hosted customers:
- v=spf1 include:_spf.paubox.com include:10.1.1.1 -all
- Where 10.1.1.1 is replaced with your Exchange IP address.
- For G Suite hosted customers:
- Click Add.
- Click Save.
- Having more than one SPF record for a domain can cause problems with mail delivery and spam classification. Please only use one SPF record. For more information about SPF records, please visit our help center.
