This configuration can be used to direct email from a subset of users out via Paubox, rather than directing all email traffic from your organization out via Paubox. This is done in the G Suite Admin Panel by creating a group of email addresses, host, and routing rule.

Note: This method CANNOT be used if there is an existing outbound gateway set in G Suite.

Step-By-Step Guide
A: Create a Group of Email Addresses
- Go to your Google Admin Panel (admin.google.com)
- Click the Groups icon (looks like a group of people)
- Click Create group
- Name the group: Paubox Encrypted Senders
- Set the group email address: encryptedsenders@domain.com
- Click Next
- Set the Access type to: Team
- Click CREATE GROUP
- Click Add members to Paubox Encrypted Senders
- Click the yellow + button
- Type in the email addresses that should send via Paubox and then click ADD TO GROUP
B: Set a Host (Mail Route)
- Go back to the main Google Admin Panel (admin.google.com)
- Click the Apps icon (looks like patchwork)
- Click on the G Suite box (rectangular box with a number like 7 or 13 in it)
- Click on the Gmail icon (looks like an envelope or a red M)
- On the next screen (Gmail), click Hosts
- On the right side of the screen, click ADD ROUTE
- Name: Paubox
- Single Host
- During setup, you'll be provided with the value for "Enter host name:"
- To the right of the colon enter: 587
- Check the box for: Require mail to be transmitted via a secure (TLS) connection
- Click SAVE
C: Set the Routing
- Go back to the main Google Admin Panel (admin.google.com)
- Click the Apps icon (looks like patchwork)
- Click on the G Suite box (rectangular box with a number like 7 or 13 in it)
- Click on the Gmail icon (looks like an envelope or a red M)
- On the next screen (Gmail), scroll down to the bottom and click Advanced settings >>
- On the next screen (Advanced Settings), scroll down to the Routing section
- Hover over the the sub-section also named Routing, and click on CONFIGURE when it appears
- In the Add Setting popup:
- Short description: Paubox
- Messages to affect: Outbound and Internal - Sending
- Envelope Filter: Only affect specific envelope senders
- ... then select: Group membership (only sent mail)
- Click Select groups and enter Paubox Encrypted Senders (your group name)
- For the above types of messages, do the following: Modify message
- Check the box for: Change route
- ... then select: Paubox
- Check the box for: Require secure transport (TLS)
- Click ADD SETTING
- ... if you see an additional SAVE button, click SAVE! If not - you are all set.
