Paubox Webmail: Access on Android phones

Overview  

This guide will show how to access your existing Paubox Webmail on your Android phone.

Note that some menu options on your device may vary, depending on the device and operating system version.

Step by step guide 

  1. Tap the Mail or Gmail icon.
  2. Open the settings menu (may be a "hamburger" menu) and select Add Account.
  3. Select Other.
  4. On the Add new account screen, enter your Email Address and Password.
  5. Tap Manual Setup.
  6. When asked to Select account type, we recommend: IMAP Account.
  7. Incoming Server settings screen::
    • Email address: your Paubox email address
    • Password: your Paubox email password
    • Server: m.paubox.com
  8. Click NEXT.
  9. Outgoing Server settings screen::
    • Email address: your Paubox email address
    • Password: your Paubox email password
    • Server: m.paubox.com
  10. Click NEXT.
  11. Select desired Sync Frequency, if prompted, and click NEXT.
  12. Confirm/update your name and your account name, if prompted, and click NEXT.
  13. You're finished! 

To access your Paubox Hosted Mail account, return to home screen, tap on the Mail or Gmail icon from Step 1 ... then click on the account/profile icon in the top right to select your email account. 

 


Note: Older versions of Android may ask for ports or security options in Server settings. 

Incoming Server settings, additional / if prompted:

  • Security Type: SSL
  • Port: 993

Outgoing Server settings, additional / if prompted:

  • Authentication to send emails: Yes or toggle On
  • Security Type: TLS
  • Port: 587 (note: if this does not send, can use port 25 or 26)
