How to best use this feature depends on your goal!
- If you are looking to reduce phishing attacks, our 2022 research shows that these 6 countries generate the most phishing attacks:
Lithuania, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, Colombia, Iran - If you are looking to reduce spam, our 2022 research shows that these 15 countries are generating the most spam:
China, Russia, Turkey, Germany, India, Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Colombia, Spain, Hong Kong, Argentina
Keep in mind, geofenced emails are put into quarantine (not bounced) and labeled with a 300 score, in the Mail Logs it will have a status of "Quarantined - Geofence." So you can safely test the feature without losing emails.
We understand that not every customer can use this feature if they are conducting business abroad. But since we have released the feature, it has proven to be very effective and accurate in reducing unwanted emails. We will be adding more countries in the future.
