Set up Paubox webhook notifications in Slack

Paubox webhooks allow you to receive real-time notifications for specific email events directly within your Slack workspace. This integration helps your team monitor mail flow and security events without leaving your primary communication tool.

To ensure the webhook functions correctly, you must retrieve the channel URL using a web browser rather than the Slack desktop application.

1. Open Slack in a web browser by navigating to https://app.slack.com

2. Select the workspace you wish to use

3. If prompted to open the Slack desktop app, click Cancel and select Use Slack in your browser

4. Navigate to the specific channel where you want the notifications to appear

5. Copy the URL from your browser’s address bar (e.g., https://app.slack.com/client/XXXXXXXXXXXX)

6. Log in to your Paubox dashboard

7. Navigate to Email API > Webhooks

8. Click Add Webhook and fill out the following fields:

   • Event: Select the specific event you want to trigger the notification

   • Webhook URL: Paste the Slack URL you copied in step 5

9. Click Save

Once saved, your selected email events will automatically post notifications to the designated Slack channel.
