Getting started with Paubox: What you need to know

What you'll need to get started with Paubox

1. A business domain

You must have a custom business domain (like yourpractice.com) to use Paubox. If you're using a free email service like gmail.com, yahoo.com, or aol.com, you'll need to sign up for a business domain first before you can use Paubox.

Why it matters: A custom business domain allows Paubox to configure your email for seamless encryption and helps your organization meet HIPAA compliant standards.

 

2. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 business account

Paubox works with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 to ensure 100% of sent emails are encrypted and compliant.

Free plans from Google and Microsoft do not meet HIPAA compliance requirements and do not offer a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). To get started, you'll need a business email account that does provide a BAA, such as:
