How Paubox billing works by product

This article explains how billing works for our three main products:

• Paubox Email Suite

• Paubox Email API

• Paubox Marketing

Paubox Email Suite

Paubox Email Suite is billed based on:

1. Number of active senders (active email addresses on your domain)

2. Plan type: Standard, Plus, or Premium

3. Billing frequency: annual or monthly

What counts as a billable sender

• Active email addresses that are sending from your domain (ex. Name@yourdomain.com) 

What does not count as a billable sender

• Inactive email addresses

• Aliases and distribution groups 

Paubox Email API

Paubox Email API is billed based on:

1. Number of emails sent per month (by volume tier)

2. Billing frequency: annual or monthly 

Volume tiers

• You are billed based on the volume of emails sent per month

• If you exceed your plan's included volume, you'll be charged for the appropriate volume tier

Paubox Marketing

Paubox Marketing is billed based on:

1. Number of contacts stored in your account (by contact range)

2. Billing frequency: annual or monthly 

Contact ranges

• You are billed based on the number of contacts stored in your account

• If you exceed your plan's included number of contacts, you'll be charged for the appropriate contact range
