How Paubox billing works by product

This article explains how billing works for our three main products:

Paubox Email Suite Standard is billed based on:

What counts as a billable sender

Active email addresses that are sending from your domain (ex. Name@yourdomain.com)

Minimum sender count

All Paubox Email Suite plans have a minimum of 5 billable senders, regardless of how many email addresses are active on your account.

How billing is updated

Accounts are audited regularly and we adjust the license based on the current usage

Paubox Email Suite Plus and Premium is billed based on:

Paubox Email API is billed based on:

Volume tiers

You are billed based on the volume of emails sent per month
If you exceed your plan's included volume, you'll be charged for the appropriate volume tier
Free plan: send up to 300 emails a month at no cost, with no time limit. If you send more than 300 in a month, your account moves up to the matching paid tier automatically and is billed at that tier’s annual price.

Paubox Marketing is billed based on:

Contact ranges

You are billed based on the number of contacts stored in your account
If you exceed your plan's included number of contacts, you'll be charged for the appropriate contact range
Free plan: store up to 100 contacts and send unlimited marketing emails at no cost. If you add more than 100 contacts, your account moves up to the matching paid tier automatically and is billed at that tier’s annual price.
