Offboarding: Paubox Email API

Overview

These are the offboarding steps for the Paubox Email API. 

Technical steps

Stop sending email through Paubox before the last day of your subscription.

Note: Make sure to turn off every automation or app that sends mail through the Paubox Email API, the Paubox SMTP API or any other Paubox SMTP service, so your messages don't fail once your subscription ends.

Note: For good housekeeping, you may want to remove include:_spf.paubox.com from your domain's SPF record. There's no harm in leaving it in place.

Save anything you need

Export what you need before your subscription ends. Data is retained and handled per our Terms of Service and BAA.

Here's how to save a copy of what you want to keep from your Paubox dashboard:

  1. To save your mail logs, go to Paubox Email API > Logs, choose a date range and click Download CSV. Logs can be downloaded for up to the last 45 days.
  2. Copy any email templates you want to keep from Paubox Email API > Templates.
  3. Note any webhook endpoints you've set up under Settings > Webhooks, so you can move them to your new provider.
