Paubox Transcription

Paubox Transcription automatically transcribes audio file attachments in inbound emails and appends the text directly to the message body. This feature allows users to review the content of voice messages or recordings quickly and securely without needing to play audio in public or sensitive environments.

How Paubox Transcription works

When an inbound email contains a supported audio attachment, Paubox identifies the file and generates a text transcription. This transcription is then appended to the bottom of the email header with the note: Powered by Paubox Transcription.

Paubox Transcription is HITRUST certified, ensuring that all processed audio remains compliant with HIPAA security standards.

The following file types are supported for automatic transcription:

• .3gp

• .amr

• .flac

• .ogg

• .m4a

• .mp3

• .mpeg

• .wav

How to enable Paubox Transcription

Paubox Transcription is available for Paubox Email Suite Plus and Premium customers.

1. Log in to your Paubox dashboard

2. Navigate to Inbound Security > Settings

3. Locate the Paubox Transcription section

4. Flip the toggle to On
