      Paubox Webmail: Access with Mozilla Thunderbird

      We know you’re excited to get your HIPAA compliant email set up on in Mozilla Thunderbird. Using this guide, you should be able to have your email working in Thunderbird in about 5 minutes.

      Set up your Paubox Mail on Thunderbird

      1. Install and open Thunderbird.
      2. From the Settings menu, go to Options, and then select Account Settings.
      3. From the Account Actions menu, select Add Mail Account.
      4. Complete the following fields:
        • Your name — The name to display on your email
        • Email address — Your email address
        • Password — Your email account password
      5. Click Continue.
      6. Click Manual config.
        • If you want to use POP3:
          • Incoming server hostname: m.paubox.com
          • Incoming server port: 110
          • SSL: STARTTLS
          • Authentication: Normal password
          • Outgoing server hostname: m.paubox.com
          • Outgoing server port: 587
          • SSL: STARTTLS
          • Authentication: Normal password
        • If you want to use IMAP:
          • Incoming server hostname: m.paubox.com
          • Incoming server port: 993
          • SSL: SSL/TLS
          • Authentication: Normal password
          • Outgoing server hostname: m.paubox.com
          • Outgoing server port: 587
          • SSL: STARTTLS
          • Authentication: Normal password
      7. Click Re-test.
      8. Click Done, and then click OK.
