We know you’re excited to get your HIPAA compliant email set up on Apple Mail. To properly setup your Paubox hosted email account with your existing POP3 email account on your iOS devices, please use the instructions below. If you want to learn more about POP3 vs. IMAP, click here.
1. Go to Settings in your iPhone/iPad and scroll down to Mail
2. Under Accounts select the POP email account you would like to change and tap on it
3. On the next screen under POP, tap on the account name
4. Under Incoming Mail Server you will see the Host Name, User Name, and Password, enter the following information
Host Name: m.paubox.com
User Name: your full email address (should already be entered)
Password: your Paubox email password
5. Scroll down and tap on Advanced, then under Incoming Settings make sure that Use SSL is on (in green), Authentication is Password, and the server port number is 995. Then tap Account at the top to go back to the previous screen.
6. Under Outgoing Mail Server tap on SMTP. Then tap on the Primary Server. Put in the following information below.
Host Name: m.paubox.com
User Name: your full email address (should already be entered)
Password: your Paubox password
Use SSL: On (in green)
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 587
7. Tap Done and you are now fully setup as a POP account on your iOS devices.
