These are the technical instructions for removing Paubox Outbound Security and/or Inbound Security for Microsoft 365. Please be sure to let us know you are canceling your Paubox subscription by sending an email to support@paubox.com.
Follow these steps to return your email to its original routing.
Part I: Your domain - update DNS record (SPF)
- Log in to your Domain Host
- Click on the Control Panel (may also be called DNS Zone Editor, or just DNS)
- Find the record of type TXT with a value similar to: v=spf1 include:_spf.paubox.com include:spf.protection.outlook.com -all
- Edit the record and remove only "include:_spf.paubox.com" from the value (leaving the rest of the record in place)
- Click Save
Part II: Exchange Admin Center - remove Paubox connector
You will need to use the Microsoft 365 Exchange admin center to remove the Paubox mail flow connector. Here’s how you do it:
- Go to https://admin.exchange.microsoft.com/ to access the Exchange admin center. If you haven’t logged in already, you’ll need to do that first in order to be granted access.
- On the left menu, mail flow and then connectors.
- Find the Paubox connector and Delete it.
- Click Save if necessary.
That's it! Thanks for using Paubox - please feel free to reach out to us with any questions, or if you'd like to re-visit Paubox down the road: support@paubox.com
