FAQs

Will everyone be required to use SSO?

SSO login is optional. Users can still log in with their email and password.

What if a user tries to use SSO with an email address that is not associated with a customer domain?

They'll receive this error message:
"SSO is not enabled for this account. Please contact your administrator."

If a new user signs in with SSO, what user role will they be assigned?

A new user logging in with SSO will be assigned as a User. Other roles can be assigned by an admin in the dashboard.

Do I need to do anything to enable SSO for my account?

No, SSO is enabled automatically for everyone.

If I sign in via this feature, will I still be required to complete 2FA within the Paubox platform?

Yes, everyone will still be required to complete 2FA.

I am signing in via this feature and getting a 2FA prompt from my email provider - why?

You are likely not signed into your email account. You'll need to first sign in to your email account, then try SSO to access the Paubox dashboard.
