Subject line trigger for secure messages
The subject line trigger allows you to force a message to be delivered via the Paubox Secure Message Center by adding a specific keyword to the subject line. This allows you to choose to send sensitive information via the Secure Message Center, even if the recipient's email provider supports standard encryption.
Turning on the ability to trigger secure messages
By default, this feature is turned off for customers. To turn on this feature, follow these steps:
- In the Paubox dashboard, navigate to Paubox Email Suite > Outbound Security > Settings
- Toggle Subject Line Secure Message Center Trigger to On
How to use the subject line trigger
To send a secure message via the secure message center, follow these steps:
-
Compose a new email
-
In the Subject field, include the word secure anywhere in the text
-
Complete your email and click Send
Note: The key word is not case sensitive, so variations like Secure, SECURE, [secure], would all trigger the secure message.
